Most dashboards overload teams with numbers that do not drive action. Start with a small KPI set that highlights delays, rework, and missed SLAs.
Core KPI set
- Turnaround time (median and 90th percentile).
- On-time completion rate.
- Rework rate or repeat tasks.
- Queue age for incoming requests.
- Exceptions per week with owner and cause.
How to keep KPIs useful
Limit each dashboard to one owner and one decision. If a KPI does not trigger a weekly action, remove it.
Track trends weekly, not daily. This reduces noise and keeps teams aligned on process improvements.
